How to take images for posture assessment

Follow these tips

Position

  • Full posture view is necessary. Head to toe. Side view is most important
  • Arms alongside body, looking straight ahead
  • Stand in front of a door so we have a reference of vertical plane
  • Obstruct your face for privacy reasons

Clothing

  • Underwear is best as it shows most of the body
  • If you are not comfortable in underwear, shorts and t-shirt will do as well
  • Tuck the shirt into your shorts/pants
  • Light coloured clothing is preferred

Camera

  • Get another person to take the images or use a tripod
  • Position camera at the waist height, make sure it's LEVEL and SQUARE to the person being photographed
  • Position camera as far from the subject as possible. Less distortion.

Upload

  • If possible, upload your images publicly on our subreddit https://www.reddit.com/r/PostureAssesments/ or any other subreddit that you came from.
  • Public upload allows other people to learn.
  • If you prefer privacy, send us an email, direct message or call / text.
