Righto, I did what I could. First thing to notice (especially visible on the anterior - front and posterior – back view) that you square off your chest to the camera, but you forget your feet. Your feet aren’t square to the camera line at all.
I’m almost certain that you didn’t even realised it, until you are reading these lines and closely look at the images. It’s your postural habit and you are so used to it that it feels normal.
So, what strikes the eyes first is your left right imbalance.
But let’s do the usual breakdown first (from the side view).
- Feet not placed properly. Heels closer to each other compared to the toes. (should be the other way around). Apart from that, you are placing your right foot ahead of the left one. Again, this is your habit and is consistent through all 3 images. And I can assure you that it’s like this every single time you stand. Every now and then, when you stop to stand, glance at your feet and you will have them placed exactly like on the images.
- The blue lines on the front view on the outside of your feet (outsteps) are converging at the back. They should be parallel to each other.
- The green line is your plumb line (adjusted for camera distortion according to the vertical line of the wall at the backround).
- The blue and white markers (ankles, knees, iliacs [anterior superior iliac spine to be precise] bottom and top sternum should all be on the green line.
- Since you are slightly rotated on the side view, its been harder to place the spots properly (especially the iliac due to your hand) but for our purposes it will be close enough guess.
- Red curve at your back – not good, that is the shortening of your back. Very pronounced.
- The red curve at the front is just a copypaste of the back, you will see that it makes your belly protrude forward in the same shape. Goes hand in hand with the arch in your lower back. This curve (the arch in the lower back) should be a straight line (eventually).
- Yellow line is your sternum. Inclined backwards at the top, which is how your ribcage is oriented. As I said earlier, the yellow line too needs to be vertical on the green plumbline.
- The pink curve at your cervical spine is a little bit of a shortening in your neck. For most people quite pronounced, but for you not so much. I think it’s to do with the position of your arms/ shoulders, which are actually surprisingly well shifted forward of the body, however still lifted too high up.
- From the anterior and posterior view, you can see how you are loading most of your weight onto the left leg.
- You can also see you are lifting your right shoulder higher than the left one.
I’d be interested (just out of curiosity) to know if you are having any back / neck issues or pain or discomfort?
Hope that helps. If you have more questions, feel free to ask.
